Research Communication

We interprete complex findings, simplify the science around research and distil the information into relatable, shareable, usable and more accessible forms (without over simplifying the content) to both technical and non-technical audience.

The process involves packaging messages into products including reports, policy briefs and project briefs; and using suitable channels to convey such messages to the society.

Our research communication process ensures that messages are:

  • Relevant by getting the audience to understand how the research is useful to them;
  • Objective by clearly defining key messages to the target audience;
  • Relevant by sharing what the audience want to know;
  • Clear since we share the right information; and
  • Timely by sharing information at a time when the audiences are ready and willing to listen to the information.

We target potential consumers of research including:

  • Researchers who are involved in similar areas of study;
  • Other research organisations and educational institutions;
  • Intermediaries such as Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO’s);
  • Funding agencies, research councils, charities and donors;
  • Industry decision makers and industrial scientists; and
  • Influencers including the traditional media, digital publishers and communication professionals.
